Can we track batches and expiry dates?
Yes, where the activity demands it — food, pharmacy, cosmetics. Batch tracking makes daily entry heavier: it is put in place where it serves, not everywhere.
How do we reduce the inventory gap?
By counting more often across fewer references. Rolling counts spread the work through the year and make a gap detectable while it can still be explained.
